GUTTER GUARDS

Overview

Gutters only work when water can get into them and back out of them. Leaves, oak tassels, seed pods and shingle grit stop both. A guard keeps the debris on top, where wind and rain can move it along, and lets the water through.

We install guards on new gutters and on gutters you already have. Before any guard goes on, we clear the gutters out, because a guard over a clogged gutter just seals the clog in.

And if you don't have trees near the house, you probably don't need guards. We'll tell you that.

Leaf Blaster: What Almost Everyone Picks

Most of our customers choose Leaf Blaster. It's a fine mesh, so it stops the small stuff that gets through ordinary screens: oak tassels, seed pods and the grit that washes off shingles. It's also affordable, which is why almost everyone who compares the options ends up here.

Small-Hole Leaf Screens

We also install a small-hole leaf screen. It keeps leaves and larger debris out, and it fits a house where the trees drop big leaves and not much else.

Matching the Guard to Your Trees

Which one you need depends on what falls on your roof. Randy looks at the trees over and around the house before he recommends anything. Fine debris calls for mesh. Big leaves alone can be handled with a screen. No trees means no guards.

Guards on Your Existing Gutters

If your gutters are in good shape, we can add guards to them. If they're sagging, leaking at the seams or pulling away from the house, guards won't fix that, and it may be time for new seamless gutters.

Do Guards Mean No More Cleaning?

Almost. Guards keep debris out of the gutter, but fine debris can still collect on top of the mesh, especially under heavy trees. An occasional brush-off or rinse keeps water flowing through. That's a lot less work than scooping out gutters from a ladder.

Gutter Guard Questions

01 Which gutter guards do you install?

Leaf Blaster fine-mesh guards and a small-hole leaf screen. Almost everyone chooses Leaf Blaster.

02 Can you put guards on my existing gutters?

Yes, if the gutters are in good shape. We clear them out first.

03 Do I need gutter guards if I don't have trees?

No. If nothing is falling on your roof, skip them.

04 Will I ever have to clean my gutters again?

Far less. Fine debris can still collect on top of the mesh under heavy trees, and an occasional brush-off or rinse takes care of it.

05 Do you clean gutters?

Not as a standalone service. When we install gutter guards, we clear the gutters first.

06 Do I pay anything up front?

No. You pay nothing to start. Fifty percent is due once the necessary carpentry is complete, and the remaining balance is due after the work is finished and any final inspection passes.

07 What kind of warranty do you offer?

Every project is backed by our written workmanship warranty. If something isn't right, we come back and make it right.

08 Where do you install gutter guards?

Plano, Allen, Frisco and North Dallas, along with Richardson, Carrollton, McKinney, Sachse and Wylie.
