Soffit and fascia are the first wood on the house to take water and the last place anyone looks. They sit right at the roof edge, behind the gutters, where a problem can go on for years before it shows.
When we replace them, we recommend material that won't rot again, we paint it to match the house, and we deal with the gutters that hang on it. One company, one visit from Randy to price it.

Every drop of water leaving your roof passes the fascia. Gutters that overflow, gutters that weren't installed behind the drip edge, and paint or caulk that has failed all let water sit against the wood. It rots from the back, so it's often worse than it looks from the ground.
For fascia, we recommend James Hardie trim. It doesn't rot, so the repair doesn't turn into the next repair. If you'd rather match the existing wood, we'll do that instead. For soffit, we use James Hardie or LP SmartSide. More on James Hardie siding.

Gutters hang on the fascia, so they have to come down where the board behind them is being replaced. We can put your existing gutters back up. A lot of customers choose new gutters at that point, which is usually the better move: new fascia, new gutters, hung right. More on our seamless gutters.
